Boarding Policies

La Palma Dog Club — a working name. Boutique home dog boarding, La Palma, CA.

Hi — I'm Truman. I run a small, boutique boarding home in La Palma, and these policies exist for one reason: so every dog who stays with me is safe, comfortable, and getting real attention. I keep the roster small on purpose, which means clear expectations matter more here than at a big kennel. Please read this before your dog's first stay — it's short, and it's all stuff you'd want to know anyway.

1Booking & meet-and-greet

2Cancellation

Because I only keep 3 spots, a late cancellation usually means a night another dog could have had.

One policy, both channels: these are the same terms as the Moderate Rover policy on my profile, so your terms never depend on where you booked. Rover stays are still administered by Rover end to end.

Direct bookings aren't a Rover booking, so no Rover policy, guarantee, or reimbursement reaches them — a direct stay is governed entirely by this document, the Boarding Contract, and the Liability Waiver you sign for it.

4Vaccinations & health

This is a shared home, so this part is firm:

5Age, spay/neuter & intact dogs

6Behavior & safety

7Feeding & medications

8If there's an emergency

Here's exactly what happens, in order:

You'll get a full account of everything, with receipts.

9Photos & report cards

Every guest gets a daily photo report card — meals, potty, activity, mood, and the day's best moment, sent every evening. Your intake form sets your photo preference and I follow it exactly: Yes (report cards + my marketing), Report cards only, or No photos.

10What to bring

The intake form has the full checklist — the short version: food (measured), bowls, leash, bed or blanket, meds, and a comfort item. One thing is required: a collar with an ID tag stays on your dog for the whole stay.

11Rates & payment

12Life at my house

The intake form asks you to confirm: "I've read and agree to the boarding policies (cancellation, pickup window, vaccination requirement)." — that checkbox refers to this document.
